Monday Monday.

So it is Monday. Ah Monday. August has been hot. Like real hot. The sort of hot that creeps up on you and hits you in the back of the head with a cast-iron skillet. A sweaty, humid, sticky, nasty sort of hot.

Anyway, enough about my complaining about the heat. I am looking forward to September and October. I was out walking around a pond yesterday near my place. I got a few pics. Also, the dogs which I was sitting for at the end of last week.

Without further ado:
This is Trot. Trot is a big, friendly dog.
This is Gracie. She is a bit more skittish than Trot and takes about 5 minutes to warm up to you.
Gracie in the sun.
On the way to the pond. It was sunny and the skies opened up on us. It was the worst sunshower which was actually a thunderstorm that I had seen in years. I must stress that it was not that cloudy around us, yet the rain was intense. The sun was able to be seen just up ahead and behind and around us.
A flying needle (at least that's what we used to call them when I was a kid). 300mm, no tripod. I was a bit shaky.

So that was the pond/park. It was a cool place to hang out.

Enjoy. And as usual, thanks for stopping by.

Sundays can be fun days

So I return once again to this place to share my thoughts and photos. I have started writing a story; perhaps a novella, perhaps a novel. I am just letting it flow out and seeing where it takes me.

But, I have not been idle. I have been clicking away with the camera. All of the photos below are natural light. All are shot at with my 50mm prime lens. I hope you enjoy.

As usual, please leave any comments below.
